September Church Calendar Updated

We have updated our September Church Calendar.

Day At The Gbraves Game

We went to the GBraves games yesterday after church and had a great time.  We apologize if there were not enough tickets for everyone.  We had to give them a number over a month ago so we told them 50.  We sold out and some folks even meet us up there.  It was a great time and thank you all for hanging out with us. Gbraves won the game 10 to 5, our church name was put on the big screen, and our kids ran the bases after the game.  We had a great time and will be adding pictures to the photo gallery as soon as everyone submits them to us.  Here are a few we have now.  

He Wants YOU!

God wants us! I am so hungry for Him I just don’t know what to do. I feel like I have been kissed for the first time and I can’t wait to be kissed again. I have not felt this hunger in a while and on one hand that is good but on another it is kind of sad. We go to church but for what? We except Christ into our hearts but why? We call ourselves Christians but what does that mean? I think we have focused on the wrong questions for to long. I think there is one question that we need to ask… “How can I touch Him?”

How can I touch the Father in such a way that he turns and begins to chase me. I want to get His attention and sometimes I don’t know how. Well I may have found the beginning part of my answer. Matthew 5:6 says “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Blessed are they that hunger… Maybe that is our problem? We are not hungry and when we do get hungry we fill our hunger with things that take His place. Sometimes we will fill our hunger with Godly things and routines but that is not Him. He is our righteousness. So we must hunger and thirst after Him! We can’t fill our hunger with the works of righteousness.  We can’t even allow our hunger to be filled by a good church service every now and again. We must be God leaches and crave more of Him. Not settling for His touch but we keep pulling until we get Him. We must desire to “abide under the shadow of the almighty.” (Psalms 91:1) In Him we must desire to “live, move, and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)

I believe it is time to raise up a people that is no longer satisfied with His touch but will kill for His habitation. “Kill”? Yes… Kill! Kill every desire, every spirit, every habit, and every relationship that keeps us from catching the Father. Lets raise up a people whose cry of hunger goes before the throne of God and demands Him to answer us. We will not be satisfied with a few good church services or a few incredible miracles. No! We don’t want His moving of the waters… we want Him to take us up into his arms and carry us on top of the waters.

It also says in Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” This gives us another key to reaching Him. Pure hearts toward Him and towards the reasons we want Him in the first place. We don’t want Him to be in our midst to grow our churches, bless our finances, save our kids, or heal our diseases… we must want Him just because He is enough! Matthew 6:33 tells us to “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Seek His kingdom, or His dwelling place, and His righteousness. There is that word again. What we focus on we will move toward. If we focus on having good church services…we will have them. If we focus on being good parents… we will.  If we focus on loving each other… than we will. But we can do all these things and still not have Him! He wants us to want Him!!! Just for God to know that you are thinking of Him today… that is what He desires. Just to know that nothing is as important to you as honoring His Spirit… that will attract Him. Are we so busy that the God of our salvation is lost somewhere between our ballgames, TV shows, church services, bad habits, or maybe He logged out when you logged on to that web sight you searched out today.

Where is He? I can’t answer that question but I can answer this question.

How can we get Him back? It all begins with HUNGER!

Kidz Town Leaders Appreciation Brunch

Kidz Town (Godprints)

Kindergarten – 5th Grades beginning Wednesday August 12th at 7pm we will be studing God’s word and allow Him to leave His print on our hearts and minds.

Parents, this would be a great time to share with other adults in the Financial Peace University course starting August 19th.

Back to School Bash (Kidz Town)

Kindergarten – 5th Grades join us in Kidz Town for pizza, snacks, and games as we celebrate the new school year. Bring a towel, you may get wet!!!
