Self Checker!

Are you a self checker? I am not even sure what a self checker is, I made it up. As everyone, I battle with selfishness being an only child only makes it worse. Well, I have realized lately I can no longer be a selfish, only child. I think it’s a daily battle for me as it may be for you. Sometimes things have to happen for you to realize “HELLO it’s time to fight your flesh”. A reminder if you will. I want to encourage everyone to do a self check every morning. Am I humble? Humility is a hard word for me. I remember once praying for God to break me and then 3 months later asking Him why I was struggling so much. Funny huh? He broke me like I asked Him to but it HURT BAD!
Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily routines that we forget or become self absorbed by the things we have to do on a daily basis. Funny thing is as I am fighting myself this week the verse of the day on the website is James 3:13 [Two Kinds of Wisdom] Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
You notice that they say humility comes from wisdom. Pray for wisdom and you will find humility and humbleness. Catch it before it gets out of hand by being a “Self Checker”.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Relationships Today

I do web design and online marketing and my cousin in Texas is finishing up her book on a happier relationship. She has been on Dr. Phil a good bit also (just thought I would put that out there, I thought that was cool). Well she hired me to do some search engine optimization for her website. Well, I have to research keywords that people would search on troubled relationships and I was blown away by some of the results. Not to mention that a few of my friends/family are struggling with there marriages and I have been angry at the devil for the past couple weeks for thinking he can attack my friends and family.
These numbers are on a monthly basis:
165,000 are looking to Google for “Relationship Advice” instead of God
11,100,000 people are looking for “Therapy” on Google MONTHLY
201,000 people searched “Family Therapy” on Google last month
That’s a lot of hurting right there but I started wondering how many people search google for “Jesus” and I was pleasantly surprised 20,400,000 last month worldwide.
I have seen obvious signs that the devil is attacking families right now and we need to stand up and face this spirit and take our authority and use it. Men, don’t forget what Pastor David spoke about. Stand up, have some back bone and lead your family to the promise land. Don’t let the devil still your families joy. Women, encourage your man to lead and be his spiritual cheerleader.
Please pray this with me….
Father, Thank you for all you do for our church family. You know the families in my life that are in trouble and I take a stand for all families in trouble right now and command that the bondage and spirits be removed in Jesus name. For the people looking for answers for mental peace about there relationship, dealing with the worst feelings of there life…..Father give them peace and wisdom for there situations. Father I call the lost back to there husbands and wives. Thank you for the covering you have given our church and we are thankful for the Pastor you sent us.

So today I wanted to share something that I stumbled upon. It seems as though anything I can find to help me understand what it is I am reading in the bible helps so I want to share a cool tool I found. I have always struggled knowing where things in the bible took place because I haven’t been there. I am a very visual person and I need to see it to understand it. Umm Ryan….Hello, Faith is believing in things unseen. I know that! You know what I mean….I just want to get a better grasp and this website I found today may help you out as well. Check it out at http://biblemap.org. You can plug in a verse and it will pull the names of cities out of the text and give you landmarks on a google map so you can see where it took place. I couldn’t pass up on telling you guys about this great bible study tool.
Be blessed and know that your answers are in that little book.

Let It Rain….

Not sure what happened yesterday but the Spirit of the Lord was very present. So where has He been? He has been there all along. Where have we been? I am not sure but I know that when we come expecting and cry out for His love and attention then He always shows out. God is doing a work in me and renewing my spirit and I couldn’t be happier. I have been in a dry season struggling to pull myself out. I would push and push but it seemed that all the pushing I was doing wasn’t enough and it wasn’t even a true push. Sometimes even when we aren’t seeing the fruit from pushing and we don’t want to push anymore your blessing is right around the corner.
I am so thankful for my church family! I have never enjoyed seeing new people more in my life. To see our church growing and people liking what they see is a huge gratification because Pastor David is speaking truth and being bold about it. I would expect people to get offended but its the opposite, people are experiencing The Word being taught and I think they appreciate it. This month is going to be big for the future of our church. Hang in there if you are hanging on and keep seeking His face and know that you have a family you can count on.
Father, thank you so much for being there for us. So many people were touched Sunday morning and a refreshing spirit roamed the entire sanctuary. I ask you to let it rain! We open our hearts to you and seek righteousness. Please make our hearts sensitive again. Thank you Father for your kiss and thank you for being here when I woke up this morning. You are amazing!!
